With Dynamics 365 Commerce’s long history since its launch, the Point of Sales system needed a redesign to modernize its user experience and address customer feedback on usability.
I revamped the point-of-sale experience by conducting market research, rapid prototyping, and design discussions for the Welcome page, Product Detail page, Customer Detail page, and Payment experience. These efforts laid the groundwork to build momentum and expedite the product improvement process.
Key improvements
Customer Details Page
Leveraging the latest Microsoft Fluent Design system, I redesigned the page’s scroll behavior to enhance discoverability. The redesigned dynamic history panel allows Store associates to view customer activities and order history at a glance.
Prduct Details Page
I redesigned the Product Details page to align with the e-commerce experience, ensuring store sales associates have a consistent experience across all Dynamics 365 Commerce channels.
Home Page
I redesigned the homepage to cater to different operational roles: a Cashier view with operation shortcuts and task overview, a Stock Clerk view with order status and inventory management overview, and a Store Manager view with sales reports and a dynamic manager dashboard.
